ProLite Announces the SuperNova Pro Pickleball Paddle

ProLite Launches Much Anticipated SUPERNOVA™ PRO Pickleball Paddle

The second in the Black Diamond Series of paddles is launched a year after its revolutionary predecessor, the Titan.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PORT WASHINGTON, WI. ¬ April 22, 2017
Pickleball paddle manufacturer ProLite, announced today its latest, cutting-edge release of a pickleball paddle named SuperNova™ Pro – Black Diamond Series. The paddle will premier at the 2017 US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida.

Defined as a star that explodes and becomes extremely luminous in the process, supernova describes the dynamic play style of Brazilian born ProLite Pro and Women’s National Champion, Simone Jardim. Even more compelling, scientists theorize that Black Diamonds (found in Brazil) originated in space from the debris of a supernova. Fitting.

The SuperNova™ paddle was designed to Jardim’s specifications. “When the opportunity came for me to help design a paddle with ProLite, I was really excited and honored” said Jardim. “I have always loved the feel of the Titan - its weight and balance, so the goal was to keep a similar feel and make the grip longer for a two-handed backhand” she continued. But there’s more to this new paddle than just a longer handle.

SuperNova Pro by ProLite

This stunning paddle includes all the best, highly sought after qualities coveted by advanced and professional players – man or woman. From its beautiful, 100% carbon fiber surface - perfect for finesse shots and enhanced spin, to the durable QuadCore™ polymer, honeycomb core - resulting in longer life and a ton of power – the SuperNova™ is set to be a dominating tool that will enhance play skills on any pickleball court.

ProLite owner Neil Friedenberg states “The design and engineering of this paddle has been a labor of love - an affair that started with the Titan. My team and I were tasked with using this material and forming a paddle that not only accommodates a two-handed backhand, but also had a larger sweet spot and balanced head and handle weight.” “With Simone’s help, we’ve nailed it.” said Friedenberg.

Perfect for power-hitting tennis players transitioning to pickleball, the SuperNova™ is slightly heavier than the average pickleball paddle and balanced similarly to a tennis racquet. Made of the same material as the Titan Pro, the SuperNova’s™ playability is scientifically proven. The one-of-a-kind, carbon fiber paddle face “grabs” the ball, despite its glossy smooth surface. Heat, direction of the fibers, pressure, velocity and impact all affect ball control resulting in a superior user experience that feels similar to strings.

The SuperNova Pro
retails for $135.00 and comes in 4 colors - red, blue, green and gold. It will be available for purchase through distributors and online starting May 15, 2017.
