Paddle Care Tips

Want your paddle to last as long as possible? The question comes up constantly so we thought we would address that for the pickleball masses. Here are some key tips that will add to the longevity of your paddle. A few are pretty obvious and go without saying, but always a good reminder.

-Never smack paddle on the ground

-Do not store your paddles in trunk. Excessive heat or cold do not help.

-Do not push off the ground to get back up to ready position. Often times, we see this occurring on the courts. That action will put a lot of stress on a paddle and could lead to breakage

-Store your paddles in a duffel bag, backpack, or sportspack to further protect them when you bring your pickleball items to the courts

-If you decide to clean your paddle, use a soft microfiber towel with little amounts of soapy water or baby wipes. (Personally, I like to leave the wear/sediment on there as I feel it has some “grab” to it)

-Regrip your paddle every 2-3 months

Taking care of your equipment with these tips will make your paddles last longer and you will be able to enjoy the game of pickleball much longer.
